Post in here if you run out of time or the browser hiccups and the drawing was perfect, just perfect.
Lost a great drawing of Sabin suplexing the Phantom Train because apparently clicking submit at 0:00 wasn't quite good enough.
My Captain America voicing his concern to his morning coffee was going to kill. That game ended up being a Hottest Game. So much pain.
I lost a great farmer-killing-talking-monkey picture, but at the same time I'm glad I did because his pitch fork was awful as I tried to draw it in 12 seconds.
When this happens is usually when I stop playing for the evening, so infuriating!
The one I remember most was "Stuck in the friendzone" so I did a star field then a outline of a glass square with zod and his two generals inside arms round each others shoulders big smiles and thumbs up. Darn I was proud of that one :(
My mermaid cosplaying as Garfield picture was lost forever.
I drew. fabulous discworld, it had a'Tuin and everything. :(
Oh my gosh, I drew a punk earth worm girl getting hit on by a demon. I spent so long on her Operation Ivy t-shirt that it timed out on me :(
I was almost finished with a hot topless little mermaid. :(
My favorite lost drawing didn't look very good, but it's still the most interesting prompt I've ever tried to draw. Something like: "We never should've fucked with Persephone" I drew a blonde lady shoving a red blob at someone's face yelling "eat pomegranates, bitch!"
Then after I submitted, I kept coming back wondering why all my other games had finished except the one I most wanted to see...! Must've been lost to a bug, sigh.
This happened to me many times. One that I wish had made it was in reference to a more common prompt (a variation of 'why did/didn't the chicken cross the road'). I didn't want the usual imagery, so I drew the chicken building a bridge over a busy highway. I put a lot of mouse-drawn work into it!
My mouth was agape when the timer ran out on me. D:
I think it would be cool to paint a mural of some sort in Photoshop as a memorial for our lost art based on the descriptions here.
Sometimes I get too engrossed in drawing I forget about the timer.
My recent one was "Steampunks" in which I drew Steam logos.....well, being punks.
I had a drawing of Mega Man and Ultros doing something creepy and interesting. I couldn't submit it because my internet crapped out on me when I hit the submit button. Stupid internet!
A lot of these sound really great. I like redheadsoldier's idea, it might be fun to draw some of these just so they can exist. Or submit them as new games.
There should be a suggestions thread on this. I don't imagine it would be too difficult to add a prompt when the timer runs out with the option to submit or discard. To keep it from slowing down the queue as a result, there could even be a timer on the prompt as well. I don't think an extra 10 seconds to decide if your picture is too incomplete/bad to submit would be a problem. 100% of the time it's the reason I just stop playing for awhile.
@Carbomb good idea! You make?
Friends. I am shattered. I just lost a brilliant Humphrey Bogart dog examining an Easter egg. :C
I may consider quitting for a week.
@sanbernadoo @Carbomb That IS a good idea. It's been suggested a few times in the Suggestion section. :]
Oh! I can't believe I haven't posted this for you all to see on this particular thread. Most of you will sympathise: http://drawception.com/viewgame/9AyZGe7sjd/i-ran-out-of-time-and-lost-my-drawception/
A save link is so very easy to implement. There could be a link that could pop this up in a new window: 'canvas.toDataURL()'. Failing that, you can get it from the Javascript console. You can then save that as PNG. If the time runs out, there should be a link on the new page with the previous page's image as a data URL. You can encode the data URL into the redirect URL used to transition to the next page, then use Javascript to print that on screen.
@Dessimat0r, Any chance we'd be able to use that in Tampermonkey script form?
Perhaps, I'll look into it
