Little Details

I love when people put little details into this game. Mostly because they go unnoticed by most people, but make the drawing even more cool. But also because there is a time limit in the game and it's impressive when people add in extra little things.

My favorite example is by Tomato. http://drawception.com/viewgame/aLsDr5W159/a-final-exam/ (Panel 6) I love the detail they went into with the shadows, but most of all I love the fact that they have a half solved division problem on the board, and were actually working through the numbers correctly. Also the smiley face on the board is adorable.

Share the panels that you drew or saw that have lots of details in them that normally go unnoticed. (Please put the panel number of the panel you are referring to)

Genuine Bananarama and Philip Schofield posters my sister used to own:

http://drawception.com/viewgame/BkQsY7Xhzp/harley-quinn/

I spent so much time on them that I had to rush like hell to get Harley finished.

:D I love them both @Ackter !!

And I'm surprised you wrote out the entire blue screen in time. It takes me forever to write on this game. haha

And I love how you made legit posters in the background :) And it's even cooler that they were posters your sis used to have.

Keep up the great work :D

Oh and @Ackter I love the subliminal batman thing you started :D That goes along with the whole little detail thing I like so much. Plus it brings me joy to draw tiny batmans into drawings. I'm going to start trying to put it into more of my art :D

P.S. you're awesome!

Wow, that math class panel by Tomato is amazing! They seem to put a lot of details in all their drawings. I love stuff like that. :D

But I'm too slow to do that on Drawception myself. At least there's often enough time for subliminal Batmans (and Corvaxes http://drawception.com/viewgame/55jEZstpxn/nyancatimus-prime-roll-out/ ). :)

http://drawception.com/viewgame/ennfBsed7q/pacman-mistakes-his-babies-for-dots-o/ I really tried it with this one.

Added a little Batman and one ghost from Pacman during the last minute. :) Also tried to make the Pacmans look like they're flying in rows like the space invaders from... Space Invaders.

This is a really old game, and one of my earlier drawings (panel 10). It's a drawing of the old game Oregon Trail, and I was determined to make the drawing look as much like a real screenshot.

In retrospect, it doesn't look like there's much detail, but for a newbie, it sure felt like it.

For a more recent game, this one (panel 6) probably has the most elements I've ever drawn in a Drawception game. It's got more background scenery than any of my other drawings I think.

The ghost has crumbs on his mouth and chips on the ground. He's kind of a slob.

These are two of my panels which were solely for the purpose of mashing in as many details as I could:

http://drawception.com/viewgame/YAEWOfn3Zk/this-is-spinal-tap/

http://drawception.com/viewgame/XsCb7R6NHq/doom-3/

I think I have a tendency to lose the big picture over the details, but most of the time using the mouse makes it too slow to add in a lot of minute things (i.e. text) anyway.

And I'm loving all the other pictures posted here so far.

I love the little Pacman moon in panel 2. http://drawception.com/viewgame/E5tK8PDPaa/mario-goes-fishing-with-batman/

I try to shove in references in backgrounds, often clipped away

http://drawception.com/viewgame/C1pde2skWC/corvax-3-paints-his-first-ever-artwork/ There's a Friday the 13th poster in here (#2)

http://drawception.com/viewgame/YmZ31xMzTg/wall-of-games/ The desktop is an "I'm gonna crumb! <3" wallpaper, and there's a cut off icon that leads to CookieTube (#6)

Baby's glasses and hair were a last-second addition.

I love little details too, however I am a slow drawer to begin with and I use a mouse so I rarely ever have the time to throw them in myself. Sometimes, I am truly amazed by what people are able to accomplish in their panels in 10 minutes. The panel by Tomato that you mentioned Littlekitty is definitely one of those "how do they do that?" moments.

I enjoy the small details other artists manage to include into their drawings, too. Tomato's panel that littlekitty linked to is a great example of that (very nice! Cute happy face :). Like Pyro, I draw with a mouse so I usually have a hard time adding more than what is stated in a prompt. My focus and time is centered around re-shaping color blobs, lol. If there's time to spare, I'll throw something extra, but it's very rare.

It goes without saying, but Corvax always impresses me with panels like: http://drawception.com/viewgame/Qdf2th8baL/a-very-expensive-bong/ (panel 10) -- the ceiling fan and clock alone were excellent additions and http://drawception.com/viewgame/kXAm54DDyW/i-am-still-living-with-your-ghost/ (panel 10 again) -- the way he splattered the ink on the wall behind Inky... very believable physics. :)

GrimbyBECK's http://drawception.com/viewgame/DOFPEAb7am/they-see-me-rollin-they-hatin/ (panel 10... again?) -- The flag and handlebar streamers are fun little additions. X)

TikiTikiJoe's http://drawception.com/viewgame/kbrfGZZw1a/wonder-woman-in-her-invisible-jet/ (how is it panel 10 again?) -- I love the subtle clouds and highlights around the figures.

Usually I can only get detailed looking drawings when they are nature related like
here: http://drawception.com/viewgame/MbTYS1OmRm/draw-something/ or incredibly simple things like this: http://drawception.com/viewgame/WkHcMgw4k6/lemons-become-combustible/

I know this is an old thread but tomato is still at it... such detailed drawings in just 10 minutes. Plus I like that he takes on weird perspectives or things you wouldn't think of off the top of your head. http://drawception.com/viewgame/NsNR764SWM/drawception-sponsored-by-slurm/
