Timer runs down from over one minute

Hey, I just tried to submit this image:

I submitted it with about 1:15 left. The submit button changed to "Sending" as expected, but the image did not send. It ticked down to zero, all as if I had not clicked anything, for over a minute, and eventually timed out.

I'm on a mac os 10.6.8, playing in FF 13.0.1 I'm assuming this i a connection difficulty and not a software difficulty, as I've never had it happen before, but I don't think it's on my end because all other websites, and all other pages on DC are loading as expected within a few seconds.

It's because of the site lag of course, the timer is client-side, so it keeps ticking, but the sending is "server-side" which is terribly slow today so it took a long time to send.
