I received a prompt that was made up of slashes and greater and less than signs. I'm assuming that it was the opening panel and that it's messing up the URL so that the game cannot be accessed. http://drawception.com/viewgame/qFZ4O48C8p//
Yeah unfortunately that's still a bug that happens when the first prompt uses only certain punctuation signs. The trick is to type in any character in between the last two slashes in the URL, like so: http://drawception.com/viewgame/qFZ4O48C8p/tada/
I was just in two different games with blank first panel which throw 404 error. http://drawception.com/viewgame/mW9rfcrRga/qwerty/ http://drawception.com/viewgame/b799t59mrG/asdfgh/ I'm really curios if that was intentional, unintentional or if it was a bug, because it's weird that it happened to two games in a very short time period. And those users don't seem to be trolls.
Not sure what you mean by intentional v. unintentional. My sense is that this is a parsing issue, but I'm not as familiar with servers and linux conventions as I should be... but my sense is that the original form of the link, if it's ambiguous, winds up being misdirected. I suspect it would be hard to fix without completely rethinking the way the page links work.
The numeric value that's unique to each game is practically sufficient to find the main page for that game... all you need to do is be sure to remove the '/' from the end of the link at that point.
What I meant was if the player has intentionally submitted a blank game or if he hit the submit button before typing anything by mistake or if it was bug as you described. I'm not sure if the first two options are possible, though.
