Opting out of Friend Games

The big problem with friend game pubs, as I see it at the minute is:

a) People can't finish their friend game for whatever reason b) They put it on pub c) People come to lend a hand d) People are then stuck in the game until it finishes e) OP stops pushing to get the game finished

The players stuck become advertisers for the game. However they have to hunt down the link again if they want to bring in new players, and if they've lost the thread/request? As far as I can see tough luck.

So what i'm suggesting is any player can drop out of a game after say two to three months, dissolving it for everyone or they are at least given a means to get the private game link easily they can ask the people they know to help finish it off. Am I missing something there or does anyone else have difficulty finding these links?

I would go for the second option... giving all participants ready access to the game's link. Allowing an exit seems like a formula for just killing the entire concept (and maybe that will happen eventually) but I really think the games deserve some rethinking and some attention (and more creative thinking) about how to make these more attractive, because right now, even when they finish it can be a bit of an anticlimax... then again, so far I've only played ones where someone was begging for completion.
