Drawing In Time pictures

Grom PE 51 [ 5:05am Wed Aug 20th, 2014 ]

As some of you already may know, I'm working on a new canvas for Drawception.

It resulted in stand-alone webapp with particularly interesting feature:
it can record and playback the drawing process.

I invite you to try it out and share your drawing (and drawing process) here.

Drawing in Time

Enter the upgraded Sandbox!

To share the drawing, press "Upload to imgur" button and then share the link to it.
Also you can combine image and link together like so:

To view, you can automatically load image from imgur in the app by appending its identifier in the URL:
(You may need to refresh the page afterwards)
If all else fails, you can save the image to your computer and then load it back into the app.

lol. Welcome Back Trash! is the sandbox you made grom ment to work on mobile, cause it works!

Simply amazing. Does the replay work in real-time, or does it only saves the strokes?

I was planning to use the sandbox to draw a sort of album cover for some of the Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories soundtrack I have laying around anyway, so I thought I might as well try this instead.

It is strange to suddenly see precicely how IMMENSELY LONG it can take me to draw something so simple... For that matter, seeing the above panel by Trashfordinner really makes me see I need to improve. I don't even KNOW how to get everything so precise and clean-looking.

Wow, TrashForDinner, I certainly didn't expect that! Very nice.

Regarding the replay feature, it's not an exact representation of artist's actions since undos and delays aren't there. It makes every stroke look determined, but don't let yourself fooled! =)

If watching the drawing process makes people learn, splendid!

That's awesome. I messed around with it a little:

Watch it be drawn

John, that was most entertaining to watch!

It's thrilling to think what will happen after I make it possible to replay regular Drawception panels.

Probably my favorite thing is that you can go back to the images indefinitely without leaving browser tabs open and revert to any previous point in the drawing to start from. If you can make it work with finished Drawception drawings, I would love that to be able to go back and polish them up.

I feel so sucky compared to thers now :'(

Ah, hosting the playback files offsite, nice workaround :)

Looks like it works quite well, and it's interesting to see the way people work towards their final images.

Grom PE 51 [ 4:21am Thu Aug 21st, 2014 ]

Only those Drawception drawings that were made with new canvas will be replayable.

Made a couple of usability updates (easier link sharing, prevent accidental closing).

sonicspin, it's cool, keep em coming! =)

John's is particularly entertaining :D

But, wait... the "Dawnbringer 16" palette... is that the gestalt one we came up with in a Suggestions thread many months back, or is it just a simple copy of the C64 one?

popokopo 67 [ 5:03am Thu Aug 21st, 2014 ]

I really liked watching how those drawings were made. This is a great way to learn better. I laughed hard to John's playback. I did something just for fun as well: where does this text go Here is the drawing process

I tried way too much time to make the drawing as a link and still couldn't find the right way. Can somebody teach me, please?
